Vixar has been working with LED Engin to design addressable arrays of VCSEL die for high power applications. Such products are beneficial in devices requiring selective illumination to improve uniformity for camera illumination.
LED Engin, another subsidiary of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, produces ceramic submount packaging for optoelectronic die that support high thermal conductivity for peak thermal management while still enabling individual die addressability. LED Engin has already developed multiple submount packages for different die layouts and addressability, all of which are now commercially available.LED Engin submount packages also has drop-in windows to support primary optic attachments.
